The GO-IEP Quick Cards
Print them. Cut them. Keep them.
Four reference cards, one per task. Everything on this page is sourced from the official GaDOE help documentation and linked from the full guide.
How to make them last
- Print this page. The cards are already sized to sit two per sheet.
- Cut along the card edges.
- Laminate. A dry-erase marker works on the checkboxes, so cards 01 and 03 can be reused every cycle.
- Tape 01 and 02 next to your monitor. Keep 03 and 04 in the binder.

Finalize and audit
Why won't it finalize?
01
Verify the meeting date.Amendment notices copy the parent IEP date. Change it before anything else.
02
Close every open progress report from the prior IEP.Oldest first, in date order. GO-IEP never closes them for you.
03
Every goal needs notes: date, status, comments, data.Any team member can enter them. Reports will not finalize without them.
04
Run Audit/Finalize and read the blue text.It names the broken section. Decode it on card 02.
05
Initials only: evaluation completion date on Timeline. Then run the audit again.
06
Finalize is one way.Changes afterward require an amendment. The Draft watermark drops.

Progress reports
The halfway rule.
One question decides what happens to an open progress report: where does the meeting date fall in the reporting period?
Meeting date BEFORE halfwayINACTIVATE ALLOWEDOpen it from the Progress Reports dashboard. Inactivate is at the bottom of the page.
Meeting date AFTER halfwayMUST FINALIZEComplete notes on every goal, then finalize the report.
Reports close in date order, oldest first.
A new IEP or amendment never auto-closes old reports.
Wrong meeting date? Fix it before touching any report.
